Peppermint Bark Popcorn

Active Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 40 minute

Yields: 4-6 peoples

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons oil (coconut, grape seed, or canola)

1/2 cup popcorn kernels

Alt: 1 bag popped popcorn

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

1/2 cup snowcaps or m&m’s

Holiday sprinkles

Flaky sea salt

Steps:

MAKE THE POPCORN: Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Once shimmering, add in kernels and seal with the lid. Shake the pot to move the kernels around and prevent burning. Cook until there are several seconds between the sound of each pop. Remove from heat and lay onto a baking sheet to cool.

MELT CHOCOLATE: Melt chocolate in a large bowl over a pot of simmering water.

COMBINE: Drizzle chocolate over the popcorn, top with candy, sprinkles, and salt. Leave as is or toss to combine with a spatula. Set aside until the chocolate has hardened, about 20-30 minutes or 10 minutes in the refrigerator.

Store in an airtight container up to two days. Enjoy!
