How To Make an Espresso Martini

The espresso martini is the sexy red bull and vodka and it is here to stay. My pal Becky wrote a piece about the espresso martini for NYT and it caused a snowball effect of espresso martini fandom all over America. Well done Becky! I filmed this video back in June when the martini was just regaining its fame and I’m proud to say that this video still remains relevant today. Snag the recipe below ;)

Espresso Martini

Makes: 1 drink

Active Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces vodka

  • 1 ounce coffee liqueur 

  • 1 ounce espresso or cold brew concentrate

  • 3 whole coffee beans, for garnish

Steps:

Fill a serving glass with ice water to chill. 

In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, coffee liquor, and espresso or cold brew concentrate

Add ice, seal the top, and shake vigorously until very cold. 

Dump ice water from the serving glass.

Strain the cocktail into the glass, garnish with 1-3 coffee beans, and enjoy!
